Innovations In Science Education
Mini-Symposium

Location: New School of Medicine Building (SOM), Emory University
1648 Pierce Drive, Atlanta, GA  30322
Date: July 17-18, 2008

The goal of this symposium is to provide a forum for our Emory community of faculty, post-docs, and graduate students to share strategic and practical advice about developing effective science education curricula and methods for assessment.  The symposium will feature a number of panel discussions and poster presentations centered on teaching and mentoring undergraduates.  As one of our panel topics we would like to focus on the career paths of FIRST alumni. We hope to give the Emory Community a sense of where a fellowship in teaching and science can lead, in addition to initiating a dialogue about creating, implementing and fostering effective undergraduate science education.
